Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RentBeta ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

RentBeta is a platform that connects students with verified hostel accommodation near FUNAAB, Abeokuta. The Platform allows students to browse hostel listings for free and pay a small fee ("Connect Fee") to access landlord contact information.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Connect Fees & Payments

RentBeta operates on a pay-per-connect model:

• Single Connect: ₦2,000 - Unlocks contact details for one hostel
• Multi-Connect Bundle: ₦8,000 - 5 connects (Save ₦2,000)
• All payments are processed securely through Paystack
• Connect fees are non-refundable
• If a landlord doesn't respond within 48 hours, contact us for a free replacement connect

5. Hostel Listings

Landlords and caretakers may list hostels on the Platform. By listing a hostel, you agree that:

• All information provided is accurate and truthful
• You have the authority to list the property
• Photos and videos accurately represent the property
• You will respond to inquiries promptly
• RentBeta may verify your listing

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post false or misleading information
• Attempt to bypass the connect fee system
• Scrape or copy listing data without permission

7. Verification & Trust

RentBeta verifies hostels through on-the-ground visits. However, we do not guarantee the accuracy of all information. Users should conduct their own due diligence before entering into any agreement.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including logos, designs, and code, is the property of RentBeta and protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

RentBeta is not responsible for:

• Disputes between students and landlords
• The condition or availability of listed hostels
• Any direct or indirect damages arising from Platform use

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
